Make sure you are eligible to vote

To vote in Manitoba, you need to be:

  1. A Canadian citizen
  2. 18 years of age or older
  3. A resident of Manitoba for at least 6 months before the election

Check to see if you’re registered to vote

The Manitoba Voter Register is Elections Manitoba’s permanent register of voters for provincial elections. Check to see if you’re on the Register at https://manitobavoterregister.electionsmanitoba.ca

What if I’m not on the Voter Register?

If you are not on the Voter Register, you can register online at https://manitobavoterregister.electionsmanitoba.ca

Alternatively, you can go to a polling station on election day with valid ID, described below.

Option 1

You can provide one piece of government-issued photo ID, such as your Drivers Licence or Treaty Card.

Option 2

You can provide two documents that include your name. Examples include your Manitoba Health card, your Social Insurance card, a utility bill in your name, or your credit card. For a complete list of accepted identification, visit electionsmanitoba.ca
